Often in a review a refer to the cat-and-mouse game between males and females. They both love each other, but refuse to admit it. This book has that, but with a twist. In, To Mend A Marriage, Gemini and Nick are married in name only. Before their marriage Nick was engaged to Gemini's twin and Gemini was dating Nick's brother. However, when Nick and Gemini discovered that there siblings were involved with each other--Nick and Gemini decided to marry each other and never speak to their siblings again. It worked for fourteen months until Gemini's sister dumps her baby on Gem's doorstep. That is where the story begins. The story itself is okay and it could probably have been written without the baby. I think that the baby is just supposed to add some interest. I have to admit that the only thing that really hurt this story was the insecurity of Gemini and Nick. It got to the point that I was disgusted with the both of them. There insecurity totally consumes the story and I think that it really hurts it. Otherwise the basic concept of these two people trying to make there marriage be in more than name only and their reasons for getting married in the first place make for a interesting read.

siblings as their exes
By RomReader
Wife of 14 months has realized that her feelings for her husband of convenience has changed in the last few months & wished for a real marriage with him. Hero seems to be willing to take their business marriage to another level until her twin sister & his younger brother come back into their lives due to her twin sister's baby. Now both hero & heroine think that the other is still in love with their ex.
I haven't been pleased with Mortimer books I've read lately but this one was different. As convoluted as their reason was for getting married (hero was engaged to heroine's identical twin & heroine dated hero's younger brother until they found out that they were having an affair), their romance starts 1 yr after their marriage of convenience, long enough for both hero & heroine to deal with their issues re: their exes & get to know each other well enough. I liked how hero was patient in waiting for heroine to realize things for herself & didn't push his own agenda. But hero wasn't a doormat by any means. It was also endearing for hero not to give up on his marriage to heroine even when he thought that she was still in love with his brother. Sexual chemistry & love scenes were passionate. As irritating as it was that hero & heroine's main problems stemmed with their inability to communicate what was troubling them about each other, their big misunderstanding is what made this story emotionally involving & brought the angst in their romance.
Recommended.

Was a little irritating
By Amazon Customer
I finished the book fairly quickly which means it held my attention to the end so it gets three stars. I usually try to write reviews with out giving away plot points but there is a big one that just bothered me. So-spoilers. Her reason for believing that he might be the babies father is that of eye color. It pretty much had to be the stupidest reason ever. Her sister slept with the guys brother. Who wouldn't think- hey, maybe they have the same eye color because they are related. The baby looked like her because it was her sister's baby. That just drove me nuts. Also, I tend to accept a lot in these books because I know that they are confined to a limited number of pages but neither one of the leads characters were nice to each other at all. He accused her of cheating and she (basically) does the same. I know you were suppose to believe that they had been married a year and had this whole relationship you never saw- but you never saw it. You are kind of left wondering why they want each other at all.
